Last April 2, 2011, celebrating it’s 10th year anniversary, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) organized a RUN for a CAUSE benefiting Gawad Kalinga, HARIBON Foundation, Habitat for Humanity and St. Scholastica’s Priory. But what made this RUN stand out from all the others is that it was FREE for the 24,000 registrants! YES! A true gesture of sharing success to other people.
Guess what? Hyundai RUN for a Cause is back on its second year! BUT, from last years’ four beneficiaries, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) decided to double it this time!
This time, there are 8 beneficiaries who will benefit from the 8 advocacy they are promoting. Registrants to the run may choose which of these 8 they want to support and their singlets, will match the color of their chosen advocacy.
Plus, AGAIN for the second time, they are giving it for FREE
That’s just too much sharing love to the community! Kudos to the Hyundai Team!
Anyway, I was lucky to be able to register for this run! I actually support women’s and child’s health
YES to woman empowerment.
So here are the details of the run in case you missed it:
Hyundai Run for A Cause

Given these, if you are wondering why would a car company be so much into corporate social responsibility just like me.. well, their answer to the question is this:
“It is our hope that activities like this RUN will inspire and generate a change in business mindsets: shifting from going for the bottom line of an excellent sales performance to fostering a genuine spirit of social entrepreneurship, a culture of caring and sharing that boosts business growth and performance. We hope to create a new generation of thought leaders who will take on the challenge of fostering goof corporate citizenship on a wider scale and shaping a culture of genuine caring and cooperation for social and economic advancement.”
Hyundai Run for A Cause: it’s more than just being a FREE run. It’s so much more.
Let us help support Hyundai in their advocacy. Spread the word. They will be having booths with representatives that runners can talk to and learn more about the foundations. Runners may also sign up for volunteer activities if they opt to.
