Buffet at Marriot Cafe, Marriot Hotel

Last August 30, 2011 My grandmother invited me and my 2 other sibling to eat at Marriot Hotel. I immediately said yes since I haven’t been inside hotels and I just wanted to try how the food in hotels here in the Philippines are.

So, we left the house at around 4pm and dropped by Greenbelt Residences to pick up my mom. After we went straight to Resorts World Manila to park.

We checked out the Casino first since there is a raffle ongoing. My grandmother said afterwards that we should go check out the food already so we can eat early.

From Resorts World, we passed by the connecting hall to Marriot Hotel. I have always been amazed by how hotels look and that what I felt upon entering Marriot Hotel.

Of course I took pictures of me and my mom and my vain sister.

We then walked pass the reception area of the hotel up to Marriot Cafe. It is where we will be eating buffet!

A few more walk, this is what I saw..

White chocolate fondue.. I’m not really into sweets, but seeing this, I think I want to eat sweets! Beside the Fondue is the ice cream bar.. They have unique names for their flavores like Ruby Tuesday, Youghurt Mixed Berries, Mango, Coconut Sherbet, and some ย more.

And so we continued to enter ย the dining area.. the ambiance is really nice. the place is well-lit and the chairs and tables are properly organized. I continued to take a tour of the place as my grandmother talked to the receptionist/waitress.

Here are the pictures of the yummy food I saw:

THE DESSERT/PASTRIES SECTION –which have blueberry cheesecakes, sugarless cheesecake, chocolate eclairs, panna cotta, mango pudding, rhumballs, buko pandan, fruit platter and a lot more! this section really made my mouth water!!

Across the dessert section are the BREADS, BUTTERS and CHEESE. In front of it are the SHELLFISHES, CRABS and HUGE PRAWNS.

I’m not really a fan of seafood but.. seeing these made me say WOW!

They also have their JAPANESE and CHINESE SECTION at the inner part of the cafe. They have the famous Salmon Sashimi and Tuna Sashimi, Also the California Maki and not to forget the Ebi Tempura. The Miso Soup is also available on the side.

The Chinese Section has the Pork Asado, White Chicken, Jelly Fish, Roast Duck, Steamed Dory and Dimsums like Siomai and Chicken Feet. Included in that section is the Laksa and Mami Soup.

They also have food that are available for grill. I failed to try food from that section since I was really full from all the other cuisines.

There were varieties of salads–Potato, Pasta, Caesar.. You name it, they have it!

I was really overwhelmed by the food, they were nicely presented and the taste of the food wasn’t bad also. ๐Ÿ™‚ The ambiance was great and the servers were approachable too..

I really enjoyed eating dinner that day! I went home very full and satisfied of the meal! Afterwhich we went to Resorts World to wait for the raffle! Keeping our fingers crossed!

So next time you pass by Newport area, you might wanna try out dropping by Marriot’s Cafe ย Buffet. Dinner starts at 6pm. ๐Ÿ™‚ and Happy Eating!!
